Mount Kilimanjaro is indisputably the highest point in whole of the African continent and the highest free standing Mountain in the world at 5895M. Mount Kilimanjaro is an awesome dormant Volcano and a spectacular diverse showcase of the natural world. With all aspects of life transformed from lush tropical conditions to dry lava desert so that both hot summer and icy-cold winter conditions are everyday phenomena.
As a principle dormant volcano with four major zone on its slopes, Montane, forest, moorland, highland desert and the summit zone. This place is also an area with endemic near-endemic and rare species resident on this geographically isolated mountain.

ITINERARY

8km, Ascent 760 meters to and elevation of 2727m.
5-4 hours trek.
Departure from Marangu gate then ascent the mountain while exploring and rest with an overnight at Mandara Hut while time allows there is a possibility to explore Maundi Crater.

11km, Ascent 1053 meters from 2727m to 375m.
5-4 Hour trek.
At 8:00 AM Departure from Mandara heading to Horombo hut when reaching Horombo rest and have an evening exploration of the area.

Rest at Horombo for a acclimatization
Explore the area if interested visit Zebra Rock or Mawenzi Hut.

11km, Ascent 970 meters from 3780 to 4750m
4.5-6 Hours trek.
Departure from Horombo ascending to Kibo.
Explore various areas while ascending such as last water steam and the saddle dessert.
Rest in the Afternoon regaining strength for an evening exploration around Kibo.
Bed early around 18:00/19:00 preparing to wake up at 23:00 for a night summit.

21km, Ascent 1142 Meters from 4750-5892m.
5 km 6-8 Hours.
Wake up at 23:00 have same light meals then departure from Kibo hut ascend to Uhuru peak passing various points such as William point, Hans Meyer cave, Gillman point then arrive at Uhuru at around 7:00/8:00 hours then descend from the summit to Kibo hut again then arrive at 12:30 hours relax have light meals then return to Horombo hut where you’ll arrive at around 17:00 – 18:00 hours then sleep at Horombo hut.
